Happ y 75th
Anni v ersar y!
No gem is harder than a
diamond...but let's consider
two diamonds! The 75th
Wedding Anniver sar y is
actually the second
Diamond Anniver sar y
Celebration on the calendar.
Traveling back in time, 75
year s would bring us to
March 18, 1944. Our nation
may have been deep into
Wor ld War II, but life was
just beginning for the newly
mar ried Stanley Wilmot and
his bride, Dorothy (Davis).
They had been sweethear ts
at F indlay High School; after
graduation, Stan enlisted in
the ar med ser vices. He was
in the Ar my Air Force
preparing to be sent
over seas during Wor ld War
II. He secured a pass and
came home to Imperial, PA
to wed his bride. They were
mar ried in the Manse of the
Hebron Presbyterian Church
by Reverend Neal.
Newlyweds Stan and
Dorothy honeymooned in
Pittsburgh for one night,
then went to Long Island,
NY where Stan was
stationed at Mitchel Air
Base. After the war, they
settled in Brentwood, PA,
where they cur rently live. It
is dif?cult to sum up 75
year s of mar riage, perhaps
as hard as it is to scratch a
diamond. However, the
stories and memories of life
have been shared with their
3 children, 6 grandchildren,
14 great-grandchildren and
3 great-great-grandchildren.
And to think, it is all
because these two
individuals fell in love. We
are so grateful for the loving
family legacy of Stan and
Dorothy Wilmot. As a family,
we will celebrate the
75-year mar riage of this
wonderful couple at Bravo!
Cucina Italiana in Mt.
Lebanon. 75 year s of
memories...and may there
be many more!
