Family dinner together
Especially the relatives
Flying in from wherever
Everyone smiling
Hugs being given
Everyone's spirit
Totally driven
Turkey is carved
Wine poured by dad
Mom makes a toast
And everyone's glad
Stories are told
From wall to wall
Dessert is served
Kids devour it all
Goodbyes are said
For the here and now
And together again
If time will allow
